Back in March when I traveled to Los Angeles with my friend we made a detour for a night and headed to Santa Barbara. I instantly fell in love with this beautiful city and even though my photos won’t do it justice, you’ll see why.
Where to Stay
The Waverly – This hotel was adorable. I loved it. The rooms are small, and even though there’s a separate murphy bed in the room, I wouldn’t plan on having more than 2 people in each room. Funny story, there were three of us and it and we all get along, but we need space. So it only took 30 seconds for us to decide to get another room.
The location is great because all the wine bars were within walking distance. We had our own wine bar crawl through Santa Barbara and it was so much fun. I’m not even a big wine drinker, but when in Rome.
What to Do
As I mentioned before Santa Barbara is the perfect place for a wine bar crawl. If it wasn’t so far from Miami, I would honestly consider having a bachelorette weekend in Santa Barbara.
The Santa Barbara Mission is a must see. I’m not religious (at all) but I can appreciate history and beautiful architecture. I recommend taking the tour and walking around to take it all in. Again, I don’t think my photos do it justice.
Santa Barbara City Hall
Just another beautiful building. You can walk up the clock tower for a spectacular view of the city. This city hall puts all city halls to shame.
I never had Santa Barbara on my radar, but boy am I glad I went. Thanks for reading.
